Back to School Checklist
Be ready for a great school year at Churchill Road with our BTS Checklist for 2020-2021!
Step 1: Join the CRS PTA!
Membership is just $20 annually per family. Support your child's education and get member perks like discounts on PTA sponsored family activities & the CRS Yearbook, access to resources and help from our community, participate in special programs like Reflections, and more!
When joining the PTA (or renewing your membership) you may also do the following:
Donate to the Bobcat Fund: The Bobcat Fund is our direct-donation drive and supports all the fun stuff that makes CRS an exciting and thriving school - including academic enrichment, student assemblies, teacher support, technology upgrades, family events, & more! A donation of $100 per family is ideal, but your gift of ANY size is GREATLY appreciated. Check if your employer has a matching program - you could double (or more) your donation!
Update your PTA Profile: Keep your information up-to-date to ensure that you receive relevant communications & that your purchases are matched with the correct student(s).
Step 2: Verify and Update the CRS Directory
We make it easy to connect to other families through our online school directory, which is free for all CRS families. (Want the print version? Order on our website by 9/28.) Returning families need to validate their information each year, while new families need to register. Messages from Room Parents are sent through the directory - so make sure your contact info is up-to-date!
STEP 3: JOIN OUR PARENT FORUM and follow us on social
Get the latest info by following us on Facebook or Twitter. Looking for advice? Need resources? Have questions? Join our private Parent Forum where the CRS community can connect, share, learn, and support each other.
Step 4: Learn How to Earn Money to Support CRS! For FREE!
Step 5: Sign Up - Become a Volunteer at CRS!
There are a number of ways you can help our students and be more involved - you can sign up online! Sign-up for one or more of the programs below. (Your child's teacher may have additional volunteer opportunities that he/she will organize.)
Artist Workshop: Help present curriculum topics to your child's class through the perspective of fine art examples. These fun workshops will be held virtually - no art skills required, just enthusiasm!
Room Parents: Support our teachers, students & CRS community by helping to cultivate a fun classroom culture, keep everyone connected, and providing other help as requested by the teachers.
